2016 Olympic city - 2016 Summer Olympics

The actual 2016 Summer Olympics, officially generally known
as the Games of the XXXI Olympiad, are classified as the thirty-first Summer
Olympic Games, the world's largest international multi-sport event that may be
held every four years. The 2016 Summer Olympics are commonly known as Rio 2016,
as this competition will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The host city of Rio de Janeiro was announced in the 121st
IOC Session held within Copenhagen, Denmark, on 2 April 2009. The other
finalists ended up Madrid, Spain; Chicago, United Declares; and Tokyo, Japan.
Rio will become the first South American city to host the summer Olympics, the
second city in Latin America to host the wedding after Mexico City in 1968, and
also the first since 2000 to be held within the Southern Hemisphere.
The games will need place from 5 to 21 August 2016 and even
more than 10, 500 athletes from 205 Nation's Olympic Committees (NOCs) will
join in this sporting event. The video games will feature 28 sports — as well
as rugby sevens and golf, which are added by the International Olympic
Committee last year.
These sporting events will occur across 33 venues spread
across 4 areas of the city namely – Barra, Copacabana, Deodoro, as well as
Maracanã.
